Helen Campbell is retiring after 40 years teaching at Deniliquin Preschool. Helen has nurtured children’s interests and developed their of love of learning. Helens passion for the outdoors and all things natural has cultivated children’s interest in the world around them. Many of the parents and even grandparents of children who are now being taught by Helen, were taught by her themselves.
Helen has mentored and supported many educators throughout her career, particularly throughout the years that she was the director of the preschool. She continues to nurture educators in their practice.
Helen is the epitome of an early childhood teacher. She is creative and kind. She can think of 100 different uses for a cardboard box. Most importantly she is passionate about the value of early childhood education as a time of learning and of fun.
Helen will be missed by everyone at River Region Early Education, staff, families but particularly by the children.
A farewell for Helen will be held on Monday 16th December from 5.30pm-6.30pm in the playground of the Deniliquin Preschool at 370 Whitelock St, Deniliquin. Nibbles will be served.
For those people unable to attend, there will be a message book in the foyer of the preschool. Alternatively we would appreciate if you could send an email or recorded video message to be shared with Helen to admin@rree.nsw.edu.au
